Birds of Paradise Foundation, an NGO is approx 17 kms from Brigade Millennium JP Nagar 7th phase

Fourteen of us senior citizens group of Bangalore booked for 11 30 slot and reached there after breakfast stop near Art of Living. Its off Kanakapura Road after Ravishankar Ashram, and 7kms inside on the right side of Kanakapura Road.

At 11 30 , Nazia the facilitator, a PG graduate took us inside and gave a briefing about the. foundation. A knowledgeable person on different species of birds, Animals, Snakes.

All the Birds, Snakes and Animals are from different countries. Most of them are trained and can be touched,pampered. You are allowed to feed them.

Snakes in India 97% of are non venomous, only 3% are venomous, generally round headed are venomous, triangular headed are non venomous. Snakes won't drink milk or eat eggs, not to feed them with these.

On snake bites, to treat dont tie, or suck blood or do any first aid. Just take the victim to nearby Govt Hospital where the Anti venom injection is generally available, if private check for availability. The time a victim to be treated is 75mins, Keep his bitten part immobilised, don't feed, take him to a hospital nearby quickly.

There are other activities like Horse Ride, ATV ride, Fishing using net, Zipline etc
